you might get lucky and never have a problem with the pieces...i was a mechanic in a ford dealership and have seen lots of pumps locked because of gear and seal pieces in the pump..very small pieces will lock a pump.. you might try some flush when changing the oil..also raise the truck so the oil plug is at the lowest point when draining the oil...
