I just bought a 1965 ford f100 with a 352 and an automatic transmission. This transmission has 14 bolts on the pan, and the dipstick bolts into the pan its self. on the transmission tag, it has "PDBA 030367" and on the tailshaft it has "C5TP 7A040A 5AM-7B" written on it. It will shift into 1st, and second gears just fine, but it wont go into 3rd if it has one. On the selector indicator it has P, R, N, D, D(with a green dot on top), L. It seems to be geared too low to be a 2 speed because at 50 mph, it sounds like its about ready to blow up.

Any information on this transmission would be great as I cant seem to find anyone around here that knows anything about it.
Thank you very much, Rick
(PS, I do know that I need to check the modulator valve and filter, as soon as I can find out what it is...lol)
