Sounds like a good price to me! I have paid $O to $1000 for 67-72 Chevys and GMCs here in PA. Sounds like a ball park estimate. Don't rip that Straight 6 out!!!!! They are one heck of an engine that hardly ever need repair, we have one in a hay hauler that has never been touched other than an oil change and radiator flush! Those old 6's never die, you just drop the hammer on them and let 'em rip!!!!
