It is of course too big to go UPS, so you will need an LTL (less than truckload) carrier. Check with various carriers because many of them do not accept used engines even if they are crated.
Depending on how far the haul is and how heavy the lane it, it could cost you anywhere from $100 for a couple hundred miles to several hundred for a lengthy haul. If the carrier has to interline (hand off the freight to another carrier) your shipment, forget it. You could rent a truck if you needed to and go pick it up.

I agree that unless you are purchasing from an engine refurbisher, consider having it rebuilt locally. By the time you factor in crating and shipping you might be cheaper getting a good quality local shop to do the work.
