351W rebuild?

If and when I get ready for a rebuild I want to make my 86 F250 move on down the road pretty quick.I would still want an every day driver just a healthy one.What kind of pistons,camshaft,intake would be ideal for this application?I had a friend who bought an F150 with a 351W 4wd that was awsome.I don't know what it had done to it but it was very strong and peppy.Did the 86 351's have good heads on them?Thanks
