Your '74 200-series pickup SHOULD have 8-lug wheels that are a common pattern with Ford and GM...so finding the size you want should be simply a matter of making sure the wheel backspacing is the same as your originals. You can go cheap, and you can go expensive on tires...shop around. As far as how big a wheel/tire combo you can use, that depends on whether your truck is stock or lifted, and if it's lifted, how much it's lifted, and whether it's a chassis lift, a body lift, or some combination of the two.
