A couple places for you to look.

off-road.com website, go to the solid front axle chevy discussion board and there is a very long discussion on converting to disc brakes on the 70s and up 4X4 trucks. This may help you with a little background information.

Another place to look is in a Hemming's Motor News catalog available at newsstands. They have ads for companies that sell conversion kits for old cars, perhaps they could help.

Hopefully someone will come on here with more specific information but if not maybe my direction will help.
