Re: 460 Lincoln fit a 350 1 ton Ford TruckPosted by Trucks on July 21, 2006 at 18:05:21 from (70.157.111.159): In Reply to: 460 Lincoln fit a 350 1 ton Ford Truck posted by idontno on July 19, 2006 at 13:00:37: Hey dude, since you already have a 460, you would have most of the stuff to change it and do it right.Obviously you'd have to change the flywheel, but you might not know you will have to use the balancer from the Lincoln since the balance is different, you'll have to use the crank pulley from you'r truck, for the serpentine belt system.I am pretty sure the injection will be a direct bolt replacement, but you can never be sure with Ford cause they can never leave anything alone!!! interchanbeability is almost nonexistent.I don't think it is a major deal.I think almost everything will interchange. The only thing I'd be concerned with is the balancer situation.I'd call Ford and ask about that. I know some of the '76 460's had a seperate weight behind the balancer, and I don't know if you'd need to remove it or not, some of them had a spacer between the balancer and block. If you need any more help, I have a great old Ford guy in my neck of the woods, email me and I'll see what he says. don't be discouraged. Pay close attention, and take pictures if possible. GOD bless you.
