Ok, I've seen a lot of stuff but this one's got me stumped. Its a 1980 chevy 1/2 ton 2wd with a sbc engine and it had hydro-boost(not sure why-with the gas engine).Problem is when you start it the brake pedal goes to the floor by itself. Its as if a ghost leg is pushing it. Brakes work fine and there is plenty of resistance to the pedal-which is why it goes down only once the power boost is available. I can pull the pedal back up by hand and it will stay up-until you push it down and it remains down again.I thought perhaps something was wrong with the internal valving in the hydro-boost so I stole a whole vacuume-boost set-up from another truck including master cylinder, but still same problem. I then tried swapping the proportioning valve but no luck. I'm not sure whether to call a priest for an exorcism next or what. Anybody got any ideas? Truck is gonna be for sale by the way once fixed-decent body, runs good, clear DE title(DE tags just ran out) Anyway thanks in advance for any help! Cole
