I have a very sound Ranger pickup from Florida. Badly sun-cracked dash, red interior, faded red exterior. Wanted to get estimate on painting it Candy-Apple red. Went to a good body/paint guy a couple days ago-hadn't needed (happy about that) his services for several years-and he is no longer able to paint/repair vehicles. He said it would cost a fortune to get it done. I'm not looking for a show-pickup, just spruce it up and apply that 'purddy candy-apple red. Pickup box side-seam has rust in it and red paint is BIG $$$. Would appreciate input on having this done, just driving it as is -as suggested by paint guy-'just drive it, enjoy it'. With the 352, or is it 351 ?? engine and four-on-the-floor and two barrel carb. probably isn't gas-easy. Pondering selling and getting late-model Ranger w/four-cylinder for better fuel economy. Handy to have a pickup around. Thanks in advance.
