1930's FWD Dump TruckPosted by Jim in Michigan on July 26, 2002 at 20:07:36 from (12.34.44.56):
I have a FWD truck, its a 4x4 dump truck, big ugly thing that someone painted pink. I was told it was a 1936 or a 1939 the guy couldnt remember. It has a very large front mount snow plow that came with it. The guy was plowing snow and he said the engine "just locked up" no noise or anything,,, Now, are parts available for these old dinosaurs. are they expensive ? should I fix this engine or plan on a swap,, I was thinking about putting in a 302 ford with a 4 speed, it wouldnt be a bad swap since the transfer case has a drive shaft between it and the transmission. Now having ask these questions and provided the answers I get arent very good, does anyone out there want to buy a really big ugly pink 4x4???...Jim
