Chev 216 Carb.??

The carb. on my 47 1/2T Chev. is a Carter W-1 or so it's stamped on the side of the carb. Trying to locate a rebuild kit for the thing and I keep being told by parts guys it's the wrong number and a 216 should have a Rochester carb. Whats up here?
