Re: '68 Ford truck valuePosted by MexiFord on October 05, 2006 at 12:46:02 from (198.133.178.17): In Reply to: '68 Ford truck value posted by Al L. in Wisc. on September 15, 2003 at 15:22:44: I have a 1968 ford, solid. Lived all its life here in New Mexico. Little rust if any. I pulled the boat anchor 360cube, place a 390 and actually got an extra 2-4 inches in height on the front end. Ceramic coated headers, nice in cool in the engine compartment now. 2wd, Granny 1st. You can get out and walk right next to it, even around if you wish all while idling. Front Disc conversion installing this winter. Then paint, restore interior and it will be near perfect. Not original but as perfect as I need. Balanced block, high output coil, less then 5,000 miles on new block. Oil cooler, etc. Anyone want to give a suggestion on the price. I also want to change rear end gear for better highway mileage and top end. Would you not suggest this? Any other suggestions? Thanks for the input. Wanted to add air, and pull the cab, bed, and sandblast then recoat with rust protection? Your right about how well built these babies are! 65mph down washboard roads, feels like a cadillac, and you couldn't fit more tuna in a can then you could me-x-ican in this. I know, I am. Family original single owner. No other owner? 17,000 when complete? More customization? Thanks to you all for replying.
