You will need a manual oil pressure gauge that sends the oil right to your gauge. You will need an amp gauge, water temperature gauge, and a gas gauge with a sending unit on the gas tank. When I made my change, I went to Napa and got the gauges mounted into a chrome bracket. The lights are also positive ground, but they still work with the changeover. Buy an alternator with a one-wire hookup. That will save you alot of time trying to hook up 12 volt generator and voltage regulator. The pulley from the generator will fit the alternator. You will need to modify a bracket for the alternator. Your starter will work with 12 volt Negative
ground. You also may want to change out your ignition switch. One that will let you hookup accessories. You may want to buy a fuse box with the new type of fuses and do away with the inline fuses. 6 volt wire is okay to use with 12 volt, except when you are hooking up your amp gauge (make sure you have the proper wire). You may want to go to the electronic ignition system. You will be surprised how smooth that engine will run.
