V.I.N. location for 1986 chevy truck

I am looking for the location of the frame vin on a 1986 chev 1 ton flat bed diesel that i wound up owning rescently.ive looked in the windshield,door jams and on the fire wall,and in the glove box with no luck. i beleave that part of the cab if not all of it has been replaced at one time or another.so any info you could give me would be of great help thanks.
