Chevy - GMC is probably the best way to go nowdays , lots of them around and parts are easy to get . Check the specs , some of them are a little light duty , if you are using it off road go on the heavy side , 5sp , big block etc . Tilt hood is almost a must for ease of servicing . For myself I'd get air brakes but that's personal prefferance .
I think the old IH LoadStar 17-1800 is a better truck but nowdays you can't get parts for them , at least around here . When we had our old IH dealer every farmer that had IH equipment plus a lots of others like us had IH trucks and there were plenty on them here and they had parts . I still have an old IH truck but parts are hard to come by .
