I've owned the same 54 chevy pu since before Vietnam started - still got it. It was airforce issue (Re USAF data files) and had a factory hydromatic trans and virtually no chrome It ( the trans) never worked right and doubt its worth the effort to rebuild even to todays standard. Even had it rebuilt once and it still let me down to the point of being downright dangerous in traffic. The reason i was told it was sold to the military was chevy was the low bid. No wonder there. Sorry if this offends but I still have bad feelings about.
