Decoding Model A VIN #'s

Is there anyone who can help with decoding a Model A pick-up? On the right side of the fire wall on the engine side of the compartment theres a tag that has been weathered so much that it's almost not read-able.
The cab is the only major conponent I have. Something that caught my attention was a crome molding that went completely across the cowl but it was 3 or 4 inches behind where the hood would close. Does this help at all with the year?
How many digits or numbers might the VIN # include?
