Would have taken a different transfer case. And I believe, doesn't the 700 need some electronics for the lock up converter and such??? But I have what I have now and will make the best of it.

The "built" one I installed can handle towing up to 15,000#.

I'm sure there are more ways to update and "renew" than the route I took.

The change in gear ratio wasn't as important to me as getting some stability on the back side of the PU.

When hauling a "live" load that moves from side to side (horses)... I really hate the swimming that takes place. Tail wagging the dog... scary in some circumstances.
