1951 Chevy truck cab swap to 1982 chassis

I recently puchased a 1951 chevy short bed 1/2 ton truck. I want to put the body and box on a 1982 2wd short bed chassis that has beed lowered. Everything was going fine, until I put the box on. It sits way to high on the new chassis. I know other people have done this and was wondering if any one had any suggestions or solutions.
