Chevy 366 Engine Weight and Engine Stand

Posted by Engine One Eight on November 25, 2006 at 18:52:14 from (216.150.124.130):

Pulled the 366 engine out of my donor C60, removed the clutch and flywheel and then mounted it up on my almost new engine stand with 1000lb capacity. Started letting the cherry picker down and the engine stand also started bending down with the weight. Does the engine complete weigh more then 1000 lbs or is this an example of low dollar china tools?
