turn signal lever/wiper/cruise control replacement

The turn signal lever/wiper switch/cruise control switch went bad on my 85 chevy. I got a new one ordered. Anybody know how to change this thing? Do you have to take the whole column apart or is there a trick to it? Thanks, Mike
