Is axle 8 stud 3/4 ton? You can put longer studs in & get dual wheels. If hauling heavy loads would need over load springs.If upgrading for speed would need same frame width axle. But if springs aren't heavy enough, changing spring hangers could be a lot of work. Also if changing axles think about driveline match,also brakes, old truck doesn't have booster.
