1947/1952 Chevy Hub and Axle Removal

Posted by Jon on August 09, 2002 at 17:11:39 from (64.251.134.20):

I have a 47 Chevy ton and a half truck with a 52 rear end, so I was told when I bought it. I guess there must be a seal in the hub because there is grease on the brakes that obviously needs replaced. I have not looked at a manual yet, but is there anyone who could kindly explain how to get to this seal. The truck also has a vacuum controlled two speed differential. Any help would be appreciated.
