motor identification???

Hi guys ,
I would like to know what motor I have in my Truck.
The truck is a 76 1 ton chevvy. the previous owner put in a reman motor that runs very well,It has a Holly carb setting on a Edlebrock "torker" intake, it IS a small block.
He said it was sold to him as a "400" small block non emission controlled motor.
How can I tell from the motor numbers?
The numbers on the pad are, VO2197Y2 other number on pad is C7 404450
The block casting numbers on the flyweel flange, left of the dist. are 3970010 Is there a site that I can go to get this info. if no one here has it? Thanks in advance, ol'George
