55 GMC Dump Truck

I'm new to this board so please forgive my ignorance. My question is what were the sizes of engines that came in these rigs. I'm being told its a 397, that doesn't sound right... but I am pleading ignorance. Otherwise what could the size be? And how hard are these blocks to find?
