thats interesting, i never thought about that, i know that until sometime in the 80s in connecticut anything over 18000 gvw required a cdl, now it is anything over 26000,this would explain such a light gvw.maybe the truck is actualy a heavier duty truck that is derated by ford. what size tires does it have, my 79 600 has 20 inch rubber.
