Reading inbetween your lines about this project.....We need more info
The 56 is it a short bed or long?
2x4 or 4x4?
Same goes for the Donor truck too!
Have seen the same thing done, useing an old K5 Blazer chassis, or Suburban Chassis Though they will need to be shortened. For sure the Suburban frame will need to be shortened. The Blazer frame will work practlly as is.. BUT the gap between the back of cab and the front of box is just enough off to be noticeable about a 1/2 inch or so chop.
