Is the Chevy the one you posted a picture of this past week? If so, it looked pretty good for its miles.

I've got a '95 3/4 ton Chevy with 454, auto and 4WD. It only has about 110K miles on it, but so far it's been bulletproof.

I'll admit i'm a Chevy fan, but even so, the diesels kinda scare me, only because i've never owned one.

The only known problems that I know of on the the Chevy is the windshield wiper module (not expensive) and the heat/air control module.

Otherwise, that truck should last you a long time since it's had an overhaul. Transmission should be just about bulletproof. The best thing about the Chevy is that parts are plentiful and it's relatively easy to work on. You won't need a mechanic to troubleshoot it or repair it.

I'm biased, but i'd buy the Chevy. It should haul a bunch of combines for ya!!

p.s. Because of you and othere on the combine board, i'm starting to look at old combines around here. If I find something interesting, i'll let you know.
