Jon,
I am the guy you helped get the 6V converted to 12V. I have since built a custom flatbed and installed on truck. I spent most the day yesterday working on getting the lights hooked up. I failed to get it all working. I had both headlights working then only left headlight working and one taillight and turn signal and side markers. Weird thing is that the other taillight works but is much brighter and does not have turn signal. I utilized existing wires from cab forward and spliced in my new bed wiring. I have all new wiring on the bed and color coded and I have traced wiring a couple times now and everything looks correct. I am just totally baffled and wandering if my problem is a bad ground on the truck. Could a bad ground on headlight or front turn signal cause the lighting to do weird things? Any other suggestions of things to look for.
