I vote for the Diesel. If it has maintenance records, it is the SCA coolant additive to prevent cavitation that is important. 5 speed manual is a good one too. Looks like a great truck. Good luck.

I've got an 87 with the 6.9 Diesel, 4 speed manual. Could use the extra gear, that winch that is mentioned by another poster sounds great too.
