Jon,
I figured it out last night with the help of a second brain. What had happened is the person that painted the chassis had installed some new wiring to the turn signal/ park lights as the old wiring was loosing its insulation behind the grill. When he did this he got wires crossed between headlights, turn signals and thus that was causing feedback. I disconnected all of his connections and retraced the wiring and now have all head, clearance, tail and turn signals.
The only thing I have not hooked up is the brake lights but think that will be fairly straight forward working off the pressure switch on back of master cylinder.
Sure did sleep better last night knowing it worked!
