Just some info. Had a 60 Ford Fairlane 500, put several tranys in it, three speed on the column. afterward, found out that there were wide spline and fine spline trannys and wished I put a wide spline heavy duty in to avoid blowing more trannys. They were use in heavy duty applications like police cars and maybe trucks. You might already have a wide spline tranny in there, it being a truck.
