Take a close look.... there is copper square that the wire is soldered to that looks like it is connected to the case, but it actuall ISN'T.

It acts as a capacitor or noise supressor, and is isolated from the case of the radio by a THIN layer of insulation.

At least, that's how I remember it. Take a close look, and post back.
