I have developed a noise in my 4spd transmission. It sounds like it could be a bearing going out as it develops a growling noise at about 20mph. The volumn of the noise seems to remain constant at higher speeds and when you decelerate to about 10 mph it disappears. Also seems to disappear when you downshift from 3rd to 2nd but not 100% sure of that at this point. I originally thought it could be the PTO being engaged or maybe the emergency brake assy. dragging or rubbing. Checked and PTO is disengaged. Can't get any shake out of the output shaft and emergency brake pad doesn't seem to be rubbing. Anybody have thoughts or possible recommendations.
