1950 Ford F750

I just purchased a 1950 ford f750 and don't know what size engine that is in it. The person that I got it from said it is the orig. engine but it doesn't look like the flathead in my 1948 dump truck. He said he thought it was a 299?? Hope someone could help me out here! Thanks. David
