I think that you are correct in wanting a chevrolet truck. The parts are easy to come by.
JDJIM said watch for how heavy it is. After reachin the C65 mark it could have any rear axle weight, be tandem, of single axle, and have no certian amount of springs at all. I would dare to say that the 38,000 pound tandem with a walking beam is by far the best, and easiest to come by for parts. We had one for sevral years in the log wood, and never had a suspension or differential problem. one other thing the 366 is in my mind the best engine. it dosent have as many problems as the 427. What ever you do dont get 8.2 diesel they a JUNK JUNK JUNK...!!!!!
