Have done a frame job or two, but an old time mechanic told me the best way to do it was to cut the frame and make the rib of the frame except a diamond piece. Much more area to weld to and with a Mig welder, looked really good. If I have confused you, drop me your address, and I'll send you a diagram. Phil
