The front suspension on that truck is set up with a "Panhard Rod". If the rubber bushings at the ends fail, or the steel sleeve inside the rubber bushings is not held tightly in place by the bolts, there will be "play", resulting in the axle moving a bit, from side to side. That makes the truyck "wander".

This is COMMON on those trucks.
