I spent 18 years in A/C and refrigeration. Converting existing equipment to the new refrigerants can be the biggest headache in the industry. Mixing r-12 and 134a componenets can open a can of worms. The lubricants are very different, as are the expansion valves and other design factors. Definately use 134a, but I would contact the manufacturer of the A/C unit for conversion reccomendations. Also, Truck advised selling your r-12 on e-bay. If you aren't properly licenced to be dealing in that stuff, the EPA can hit you with some big fines. They are trying to stamp out the black market for CFC refrigerants. The best way to get rid of it is to make a deal with someone in the refrigerat
