Works great, cut the frame on a 45 degree angle.Is it a single frame? If hauling with it I would fishplate. If double frame will need to cut an extra foot on each side of the piece removed and then welded back in so both don't end up in same place. Wouldn't need fishplate. Bolt through to spread weight around cut section. I would cut in front of carrier bearing, shorten front section of driveline. If 3 piece can you remove 1 section and not have to make a new section. I have done many of these, mostly lengthening so just reverse process. If any other questions just ask....James
