Carb dripping gasoline

Fired up the old F150 with a 300cid 6cyl,the 1 bbl carb started leaking fuel on to the manifold,left it and tried it again a day later thinking the it might clear up,same thing.What should I look for to remedy. Any ideas welcome.Thanks Dan
