Sorry, I thought I put the link in there. I'll just type it in here and you can copy and paste it... www.67-72chevytrucks.com Tell them longhornmail sent you. :) (that's me) The 920 badge is from a 67 or older. LMC is not a very good place to go for parts. The only thing I ever bought from them that actually fit is the hat on my head. Your better off checking out; http://www.classicheartbeat.com/default.htm or http://www.gmcpaulstruckparts.com/index.htm I recomend the second one persoanlly. As for the springs, '69 seems to be an odd year for the GMC springs. Every 1/2 ton '69 GMC I have ever seen (in person) had coils, even though (as stated before) they normally had the leafs. Now, some myths to put to rest on the springs.... GMC NORMALLY had leafs... Chevy NORMALLY had coils... Either could have either and NOT be on the option sheet. Custom Camper has nothing to do with coil/leaf springs, all that was needed for the badges was a couple small B.S. options like good tires and heavy duty shocks and mirrors. (a few more items, but you get the idea) I have date coded papers here from GM as proof. Coils were never offered on anything bigger than a 3/4 ton, so NO one ton trucks will be found *stock* with the coils. The only truck smaller than a one ton that has any rigid rules on the rear spring rules, is the Longhorn. It was ONLY avalable in leaf spring. The base engine on a 69 GMC was the 305 V-6 and an optional 351 V-6. If either of these 2 engines were in your truck, the VIN will start with CM. An inline 250, or optional 292 was avaialble with the VIN starting in CS. A 307 was base engine in a CE VIN truck, with 350 and 396 big blocks optional. The V-6 wasn't really rare, just no body wants the torqu monster anymore since it has a very short RPM range and parts are so hard to find. (here is a URL for V-6 info... http://www.favorites.com/~jolly/305V6.htm ) Sorry the thread was so long....please check out the 67-72.com one, look on the left of the main page, and go to message boards. From there find the 67-72 boards...thats where all the action is.
