73 motorcraft 2150 carb problem

[ View Follow Ups ] [ Post Followup ] [ Return to Forum ]

Posted by North M on August 27, 2002 at 07:45:45 from (204.209.24.2):

I have a 73 , 302 with a 2150 motorcraft carb on it set into a 66 Ford 1/2 ton. Up until a month ago it started fine with pumping the gas pedal a couple of times and away you went. Now you have to pump the pedal quite a bit before it will start and you have to leave the manual choke partly closed to get it to accelerate without hesitating or bogging down. Any thoughts on what my problem is ? I have changed the fuel pump with one I had but no change and the fuel filter has been changed also. Thanks
