55 GMC Doors/fenders

I am getting ready to pick up a 55 GMC (2nd series) that I just put a down payment on from the original owner. I was wondering, other than the grille and dash, are chevy parts interchangeable on the 55-57 trucks? I used to have a 57 chevy truck and let it go a few years ago. This is my 2nd chance at being happy again..Thanks for any advice....Todd...
