Body of Message:

I ripped apart my 350 in order to replace all the pushrods because a few had snapped right apart. Before this it ran rough because the timing was off. After i put it all together with all new gaskets, even for the distributor, all i get now is either a huge backfire, which led me to believe the timing was out half a cycle, so i switched it, and now it sounds like it wants to start, but it either backfires much quieter, or it spits gas out the carb. Any help would be much appreciated because i am stumped. PS, i made sure all my rocker arms were torqued correctly.
