Engine PaintPosted by Buck in WV on June 20, 2007 at 12:06:29 from (204.111.35.119): I saw a Mustang at a car show Sunday that had the engine painted the same color as the body. There isn't a regular engine paint that color. I asked the guy about it and he said that it was the same car paint that was used on the body. It didn't burn off, which surprised me a bit. --Have any of you folks used regular auto paint on an engine?? Do the hardners in the new acrylic paint cause it to be able to withstand those temps? (Not exhaust, but all else including intakes). Thanks!
