I have a few questions about the new transmission i am putting in. I am putting in a 700r4 to my 86 truck. It originally had a 700 r4 that was replaced with a th350 before i baught it. I have replaced the motor completely because it had a 4.3 v6 in it and put in a 350. Now there is still a connection cable under the truck that will hook into the 700 r4 from original. Will the connection do anything or is it worthless. I would like to save myself a little money and not have to put a shift kit on it if i dont have too. The 350 does not have any electrical connections too it so i dont know where the wire goes.
