12 volt conversion - 52 Chev

Can anyone give me a short list of things to do and buy to convert my 6 volt system to 12 volts? I have a 52 chev 1/2 ton.

1. switch 6 volt generator to 12 volt alternator
2. 12 volt battery
3. headlights, tail lights switch to 12 volt LED taillights and halogen headlights
4. blinker - do I switch to a new blinker
5. dash? any light gauge changes
6. starter - what 12 volt starter do I get? or can I rebuild the old? or use it as is?
7. fuel tank sender - do I add a 39 ohm resister to the line??
8. do I change any resisters under the dash? running lights? turning signal?

Please help me since I am used to working on MGs not GMs.
