My 54 chevy pu sat for 27 years before i bought it. When i got it running and drove it i noticed the gears shifted too easy and the transmission just didn't sound right. I only drove it about 2 miles ,thank goodness, before i checked it. I drained out one quart of pure water. I refilled it with trans oil, but i can't figure how the water got in. I know the water will displace the oil so i guess the oil got out where the water got in. My only guess is the speedometer cable. Anyone else experienced this?
